I know it's been a long time since I've posted.

I've been really busy in RL to be honest. Not much going on in SL. Reallymad (Mick) is mostly retired or as he calls it hiatus. Funny how I used to be so busy in SL running my companies, BAF Productions and my photo studio with my business partner, barely having time to answer my ims, unfortunately ignoring those that cared to get work done, to having no im's at all... So now I'm raising Meeroos... really not sure how that happened, since I SWORE that I would never have another breedable pet ever.... oh well, they are really cute... *sigh*

Anyway, so I apologize to all who have been looking for me... RL has rezzed more and more and so if you happen to see me in SL say hey, let me know what's going on in your life....

Next week, Brickhouse Frog turns 4! Wow and she doesn't have a gray hair (i could change that hmmm)...

So many things have changed in SL in 4 years. I think the only thing that hasn't changed is my shape. So many friends have come and gone, I wouldn't trade any of their friendships for the world. There is one friend who has known me seemingly forever and has never missed one rezz day party (although rumor has it he won't be around to sing to me this year on my rezz day... what a tosser *dead now*), life is definitely interesting with this friend around, but as long as he brings the ice cream it's ok.

This is the first time that I have not had a lot to do in SL. Reallymad is on a self-inflicted hiatus. Although he'll say I drove him to it...So what does one do in SL??? I've always been so busy with running venues/hostessing or taking care of my countless musicians... I'm not sure what people do for fun in SL... (yeah um not that ok) Is there life outside of Live Music?? *gasp* the thought!

So I will have to pull out my arsenal of guns, maybe do a little roof diving and see what trouble I can cause.

Whoever thought this Frog would be in SL so long! It's been quite a ride, and memories flood me from the early days of building with a Master Builder, to running one of the first, very popular venues (the Brass Frog) with my SL Brother, Ford, to all my musician friends from Jackdog Snook, AcousticEnergy, Reallymad.......................Rara Destiny, and soooo many more, to running my photography studio (anyone need a picture), to Sammie's Place (that was THE best venue in SL), my rezz day parties (and what happened at the first one stays there), to all my friends... Life as I know it will never be the same.

The Last Few Days...

So this weekend kept me quite busy ...

In Avination, I have been advertising my photo business, looking for places and such to advertise. The sim, Coda, is full! I'm so completely thrilled about this.

This coming week, I have a new DJ starting at the DryDock. His name is DJ Baxter Hyun. Now some of you may know him from Two Moon Paradise, so be sure to drop in and give him a listen to! Bring your requests I'm sure he can play them for you. Sunday, we welcome back Cranston Yordstorm back to the DryDock as well!

As for Secondlife, Mick kept me busy on Sunday, and so did Two Moon Paradise. An old friend of mine who I haven't seen in ages came back in world this weekend so she and I had a great time catching up. I had a great time at Club Echo last night and hanging out with all the great people from Two Moon Paradise.

There is one thing that I must learn... and that is to stay away from grills...

I can't believe it's been over a month since I've blogged...
I guess I'm keeping busy writing a blog for a place in SL, and keeping busy with Avination.

I'm proud to say that ALL of Coda has been rented out or land purchased except for one apartment. However, I've had to add another store and rented out things that were never thought to be rented. I'm quite happy at the success of Coda. From it's mere concept to what it has grown to today has been truthfully a lot of work and a lot of tears, but it's a great place to go and relax. The DryDock music venue has live music, for now, once a week, with a lot of awesome performers making debut appearances and repeat performances there. When in Avination, be sure to stop by and visit all the great stores and catch a performance.

Starting this weekend, we are going to have our first 'hunt' on Coda, most of the stores are participating and I'm sure you will find something to delight you!

Other things that have been keeping me busy are photo shoots in SL and AVN... and trying not to burn pizza.

As you know I own the Sim, Coda in Avination (get your account here). Coda is going through some major changes right now, most people won't even notice unless they read the fine print so to speak.

I want to thank Rick Scorfield for being the amazing builder that he is, for his great vision in Coda, his attention to detail, and his ability to work even when I talked his ear off, or picked on him, he still got it done and done beautifully. There is no other place, I believe, in any virtual world built as well as Coda.

Harmony Village is located on Coda. The Village offers unique shops, a super cool venue, Froggie Fotos and Scorfield Design. There is even one plot of land available for purchase in Harmony Estates, so if you want it grab it quick, you'd be surprised at how cheap land goes for.

Now at this point I really don't care what people believe, because I know the truth... I want to publicly thank Rick for being a great friend, I'm so glad there was "Take2" and more so the friendship that carries on in RL. It's true Harmony.

Has that ever happened to you??? OMG I lost my inventory???
Well it can happen... I just think the Linden gods love messing with us from time to time.

Along time ago when I discovered hundreds, maybe thousands of my inventory gone, I found this great help online. I have used it ever since, and so have my friends. I don't know if it works for V2 or any of the other viewers out there, so I always recommend downloading V1 (which I prefer anyway being old school in SL). But it always works! So I'm passing along my secret to you.

My SL has changed, but it's more than my SL, you are my friend in all worlds, times and spaces. I miss you and always consider you my friend, all you have to do is IM/Call/Text me. The girls miss you too. Not sure what else I can say to you, we both hurt each other and for that I am sorry. Consider this my very public apology for a private misunderstanding... yes that is what it was a misunderstanding that became over heated by both of us.

Every time I see my IM pop up I hope it's you, but it never is. I know if I email you, you won't read it, but I notice you have been reading my blog, so please just understand where this is coming from, my heart. I know things got really bad between us, but I hope one day you find it in your heart to talk to me again, and our friendship only grow stronger from there. A select few who know say we are too good of friends to let this change us. But I know I hurt you, as you hurt me. They are right tho, we are too good of friends to just let this be the end.

Funny thing is when I talked about opening my venue in AVN, you, my friend are the one I want to see what we've done. I know you would tell me you are proud.

So much stuff going on in Avination.

I am pleased to say that the Sim of Coda is almost complete. Rick Scorfield has built it beautifully and not even a blister on his finger from all the mouseclicks. I am very honored to know Rick, and be able to call him my friend. He is an incredible builder, and now we know it's not just my opinion as he won the judges choice in the AVN Builder's Expo (but we all knew it would happen any way)!! WTG Rick!

The DryDock, which will soon become AVN's premiere venue, will have it's grand opening on Sunday, June 19th with Karter Stonecutter at 6pm. Be sure to be there as we open this fun venue. There will be other activities throughout the day, so watch the blog as we get new and exciting things for you.

Froggie Fotos is complete! Again, kudos to Rick for taking my vision and making it a reality. With a few photo shoots underway already in AVN, it's a complete blast. Currently running a special for all those empty profile pictures, 50c's for one profile picture!

Several shops have been rented, all the apartments are rented out, and we only have 2 lots available to purchase (as of this writing). Shop owners, don't miss out on this incredible spot. Oh did I mention dirt cheap too? With stores like FrAmed, Inedit, and BnB Sculpties, you will most certainly want your spot too.

Ok so I am lucky enough to have a friend who is a willing participate when I say "will you help me". This time I asked my friend... "Will you help me with my new studio?" He of course said yes... Well, I'm used to my beautiful PL3 in SL, so this one took a little getting used to. As you can see from this picture... Well I guess Doug thought my head was the poseball... funny it doesn't look blue...

Anyway after trying to figure it all out... Froggie Fotos In AVN is about to open it's little prim doors.

I am also very lucky to have a good friend who is the most excellent builder this side of the virtual world. The building he is building for me would cost at least 10 Million real dollars if it were not virtual. It has plenty of glass for me to look upon the beautiful sim, but plenty of space for displaying my photos.

I had my first "pre-opening" customer, so be sure to make your appointment soon (in either world)

BTW, on Coda, we only have 3 lots left for sale and the stores are starting to fill up. Don't be left out!

It's fun looking through old pictures and reminiscing about things. I've had a lot of good friends over the years... Always have a good time together...*looks innocent* I would never ever do things to them like box them, push them off things, pull floors up, put them in dresses...ok so maybe I have done all of those things and more. I confess it is FUN for ME. But one things for sure, I'm always there for my friends whenever they need me, or don't need me and just want to talk. Even if months or years go by, I will always be here, always.

This is the sim I co-own with Rick, my business partner and good friend. Notice, no other sims around us! Yay, means less lag. Every property for sale, is water front, every property has bonus prims for VERY low pricing. When I look to see how many prims people get for less than 500c's I have to double check because I am astonished!

Now you can't tell from this picture, but Rick Scorfield is an amazing builder and his talent really shows on this sim. Every small detail is attended to like I have never seen before, anywhere. Rental shops will soon be available and I have this feeling... they will rent up quickly.

So stop by Coda, claim your spot if you want and as soon as the shops are available for rent, you will be the first to know.

Now I must tell you about another little gem that Rick has built. Above the waterfront shops, there are "penthouse" apartments. The view is spectacular! There are only 2 available and I'm sure will rent out quickly once word spreads. They are so incredible that I want to leave RL and jump in there to live.

Avination and Harmony Estates

So you have heard about Avination, but just what is Avination?? Well it's an open grid... What's that you might ask... It's like Secondlife, without the Lindens, less lag and well no Marketplace. So in a sense, we are pioneers... or we are living the way Secondlife USED to be. There is a sense of community as you actually have to go find what you are looking for, instead of running to Marketplace, and usually there are less than 200 people online at any given time.

Why am I telling you about it? Well, for the last week or so, I've been there more than Secondlife... Why would I abandon Secondlife?? Well I haven't. But I have found something completely fun to do there. My business partner, Rick Scorfield and I have been busy making a community. The sim we have purchased is simply amazing. Rick is a phenomenal builder to say the least. I don't think I have ever seen anything so fantastic of a build... maybe I'm prejudice, but others have looked at it and think it's great. Oh did I mention, that we are renting now, and because it's Avination, IT'S REALLY cheap for land.

So let me tell you a little bit about Coda and Harmony. Harmony is on the sim of Coda, which is the sim that Rick and I are building. Now for you music lovers you will understand that there must be something musical about this sim. Well, we are not running a venue there, per say, however we are willing and able to help those who might want to run a venue, we have a great events "stage" for anyone who would like to use it or learn how to run a venue. The stage is also great for anyone who might want to rent it out for a display or any other "open air" event. Also on Harmony, you will find incredible walk ways, bridges to hang out on, parks and more. Did I mention the beach area? Did I mention how beautiful it is there? Don't forget the rentals...

Now how would you go about becoming part of Avination? I know you will want to at the very least stop by and see Harmony, and congratulate Rick on his fantastic build. (I will post pictures when it is completely done) It's very simple actually, go to Avination.com and create an account, just like Secondlife. If you want to transfer money into Avination without going through paypal, you can, but you must have the same name. Now to transfer L's to Avination, you simply find a terminal in Secondlife, and pay it (you have to have at least 1,000L to transfer). Please be aware there is a transaction fee, I believe for 1000L, you get 930c's (or so). In Avination, money is called c's (care coins I think).

One other thing you should know about land; If you don't want to rent a parcel, but would like to own a sim, believe me it's VERY affordable. Not sure how to go about this? Well, the support staff of Harmony Estates can certainly help you. We are now renting out full sims. Rick's building services are also available for a fee (you would have to discuss that with him for rates).

Yes I am very excited about this adventure, I am making new friends, connecting with old friends and having a great time...like last night when an old friend of mine and I made Rick the butt of our jokes.

Ok so, probably against my better judgment, I am now also repping Lou Mannock. I say that because Lou is absolutely crazy...But so much fun. His music varies so much you never know what you are going to get. Someone said, they love the fact he can go from 80's music to 80's porn music. Ok so it's not quite like that... but his music does vary, his voice is incredible, and trust me his shows are NEVER dull.

Now because of Lou, I've discovered an open grid called Avination. In Avination, I've gotten a business partner, together we are building a sim, with a little city, venue, park, and of course rentals. We'd like to make it something like in the "old days" of SL, where there was a sense of community. So, watch for ads, grab yourself an account and come see what we are up to. It's a lot of fun over there, you actually have to go shop for stuff because Marketplace doesn't work.

Also, thanks to a good friend of mine, I am now writing a blog for a very popular venue. It's a lot of fun and the first night I was there, of course the DJ had to pick up on my name and play She's a Brickhouse...

Soon, I'll be adding to my oh so popular clothing line on Marketplace by adding "MAD" Tshirts. These tshirts are designed by the one and only MadMan, Reallymad. They are incredible shirts, and he has made me a few that I've personally requested and look like real tshirts. First I must say it's kind of comical to me who reads my blog. You see I have a list of recent readers and I can tell by where they live, who more than likely, is reading this. I guess I should take it as a compliment that people need to know WHAT the Frog is doing. I mean, your life must be pretty shallow that you have to spy on someone. Yes this is an open blog for anyone to read, but when you don't want someone in your life, then you don't need to follow every thing they say. Unless of course I'm that FUCKING interesting. The next few weeks are going to be quiet for me as Reallymad has decided, yet again without my permission, to take a holiday. He claims it's much needed and much deserved after putting up with me for all these years...So I will miss him while he's gone... maybe I'll have to hide his tip jars (for those who have never been to one of his shows... you must go so you know what I'm talking about).

I just looked over the last few years of photos on my Koinup.com/brickhousefrog... amazing friends I've had all those years... Yes they come and go, but while they are there, they are a lot of fun.

Some friends remain in the background, just saying hi, how was your day, are you smiling. They have been there for years...quietly making their way into my life.

My friends have always been incredible. No matter what the circumstances of us not communicating any more, if they are ever in need of a friend, I am always here. They are always in my heart. No questions asked. I miss a lot of them more than they will ever know.

For those that have quietly been in my life, and some not so quiet... I'm so glad you stayed. Crazy how a "virtual world" can make such good friends, such connections that spill into the real world.

My Totally Amazing Weekend

Ok... I admit I was really apprehensive about going to the jam this weekend in Baltimore...

I mean I've been in SL music a long time and yes I have met other people from Secondlife in real life. But... I knew people like Debi Latte and Max Kleene would be there... we are talking MAX KLEENE!! and DEBI!! sigh... I felt like a star struck teenager...

So upon my arrival, I hear the familiar voice of my good friend, Gwampa Lomu telling someone Brickhouse Frog was on her way... hey that's me, Brickhouse Frog... I got the best greeting ever by Minerva Macchi, Gwampa Lomu and "Little Mick", Minnie's son.

Ok so from that point on, it just got better and better. *Swoon* Max Kleene... I got a hug and a kiss on the cheek from him... I may never wash my face again! I danced with Gwampa Lomu, we would have done V4 but the poseballs wouldn't sync right, I even got to dance with Debi Latte!

The music was more amazing than you can even imagine, people really do act like their avatars... one even sprouted her wings... I met new friends, like Dahlea, Trouble and Justone... who before I knew him, laid on my lap... don't ask... I guess he wanted to see if I really was a good pillow like Gwampa said.

I could go on and on... about how awesome KevinMThomas Carpool, Mack, Dakota, Mr.Multi, Debi, Max, and on and on... so many amazing musicians...

For anyone who has the opportunity to go to a jam... and is thinking nah I won't go... GO!!!! Get it together and get there... my only regret? wishing i had a video camera because i would have gotten more of it for youtube... *shrugs shoulders* there's always next year... *glares at Rusty* right???

So in recent days... things have happened...

One is that someone saw me RL and decided they couldn't be my friend... hmmm interesting thought we were all grown ups and I know for me, friendship isn't about looks...it's about the good times, laughing, carrying on and making each other feel good when the other is down.

Also in recent days... I was told that men and women can't be best friends without something going on... Really??? Seriously??? almost all of my life, my best friends have been men...only until recently have I had good girl friends.

So, that being said, to all of those who think Reallymad (Mick) and I are really boinking each other... you seriously must be jealous because he and I are soooo close as friends, nothing and no one can tear us apart... trust me, better people than you have tried to break us up, and well fuck you, it's simply not going to happen.

You see, there are a very few people I let into this little wall of mine *Makes invisible wall around self*... and very few are chosen... so, for those of you I let in, make yourself comfy... as for Mick... well... he's become a permanent part of the wall, even so much so, that when we talked the other night, I didn't let my kids or as he calls them "his litluns" talk to him, and I got scolded by them later...and had to call him back.

So it's a new year and I haven't posted much at all lately.

RL has captured most of my nights any more, and that's perfectly fine...

For the times I am around, I have a very core group of friends who always have my back, who in hard times and truly fun times always are there for me. They know who they are and that's what matters.

Ok so it's been a really long time since I've blogged, and I know some of you check back here daily so i just wanted you to know I appreciate you checking on me... it warms my little froggie heart thats for sure.

So what's new in 2011, nothing much really... new friends, new sim i'm living on, it's like a whole new world.

Reallymad is still gigging and I'm still doing photography. Pays the bills, and lets me go shopping and hey! it's fun... with all my rl stress I find a lot of relaxation in this... shopping that is. Well Reallymad's gigs are fun too, eh all of it is. ..

My Third Rezz Day Party

So I've been a little busy but I wanted to put here about it, because really this is like a diary for me, that if other people want to look under my bed to find the diary they can read.

My wonderful friends got together and threw me the most amazing swamp party ever... it was a surprise... I'm not sure how they pulled it off, but they did. From an actual swamp, to frogs, to the building, no small detail was left unnoticed. Unfortunately that night I had to be on my netbook, so things didn't rezz like they should and I... was quieter than usual, but it was truly amazing, and I got to see things after the fact.

So special thanks to: Christine Haiku and Rick Scorfield for the incredible work that went behind it, Sammie Gabardini for putting the thoughts into everyone heads, and trying to get me there on time, and of course Reallymad Morpork for singing, he and Sam haven't missed one rezz day yet. I'm sure I'm missing someone who had a hand in it, like Alexxis who tried to get me there on time too LOL ... and special thanks to all my friends who showed up to make it an amazing night for sure.

It's like another birthday for me... yay presents!

My first rezz day party was tons of fun... hours of my musician friends, friends of mine there dancing, partying on the beach... and what happened there stays there. Needless to say, a few of my long time friends still talk about it from time to time...

My second rezz day ... wasn't so much of a party, but it was fun... Reallymad and Jade got together and sprung it on OnlyhalfCrazy that she was going to sing to me... OHC told the story of how we met... I think she's completely crazy but it was fun seeing Jade's all decked out in purple just for me.

I'm not sure what, if anything I am going to do for this, my third rezz day, except maybe play with my horses and bunnies. Maybe Reallymad will sing just to me at his gig, who knows maybe he'll learn a new Kenny Rogers song.

Anyway, party or not, I love pressies and no better excuse than to get me some :)~

A Fun Weekend

After Reallymad's gig Thursday, which is always fun, I popped over to Alexxis' Paisley Park where she always has amazing musicians. I was shocked when the muso she had on stage remembered me and the time I helped run Sammie's Place. According to Alexxis, everyone knows the "Frawg" but it was still nice to be remembered and see so many of the people I don't see much of any more.
So Friday night I rezz in world looking for something to do... an old friend of mine also was in world. I haven't talked to this person in ages and so I IM them and say lets go dancing. Come to find out it was what we both needed. We spent a good 1.5 hours listening to some great music and catching up.

Now last night, Reallymad had a gig at For the Love of Music. Amy's venue is a very musician friendly place, and we always have a lot of fun there. However last night, I really think took the prize. My friend Christine came in to hear Reallymad and well... started telling secrets... or were they secrets?? I'm still confused about how that conversation turned on me and it all became my fault! *sigh* The perils of being Reallymad's Sexy Rolodex...

Be sure to catch Reallymad at a venue near you soon, trust me, he is definitely an entertainer... one in his own class that's for sure! Needless to say, I always find myself laughing sometimes hysterically at the antics that go on at his gigs. Oh did I mention that he can sing too :)

Before you read any further, please realize there may be some strong language in this... That is your disclaimer...

So there I am, at Reallymad's gig, knowing it's the last time I'll hear him for a while because of his vacation and mine, just wanting to relax and have a good time. In comes Nutcase#1 who thinks she is funny, but SHE is the only one who thinks that. Now her nasty little comments are just a ploy to get attention. So we all just leave her alone.

Next on the list is Nutcase #2... but then again, he does not warrant the title nutcase, he warrants the title Fuckwit.

Said Fuckwit, comes to Reallymad's gig tonight and starts slamming singers that use background music. The last I knew, people like Pavarotti, Celine Dion, and others don't play their own music.

Then Fuckwit gets me in IM's probably because he is chicken shit and doesn't want a confrontation from people who actually like Reallymad's voice. Goes on and on about how Reallymad is "stealing" ... as I said to him, how does he know that RM hasn't paid for the license and have permissions to use said music. Well that was enough for him, he said he was going to report me and RM to the idk police I guess, because now I'm an international thief and muted me. Left me standing there "shaking in my boots" NOT. Good luck finding out who I am, and oh, what did I do to break copyright laws other than stand there and look fucking hot? *rolls eyes*

If you are going to stand there and slam me and my friends, because lets face it, RM and I are so much more than musician/rep, than you better be ready to get our wrath. So after said gig, RM gets Fuckwit in chat, and RM tells him a thing or two about music, asked him who appointed him god of all music in SL and Fuckwits response was to mute RM too. oOOOOooo big scary bully, going about telling people he's going to report them to the RICCA and "others" and then muting them. Wow I bet he sleeps good at night! What a puss, or as a good friend of mine says, he's like a big cunt puss bubble.

People like him are only trying to scare others. This time, he came across the wrong duo. Don't worry, Fuckwit, you know who you are, and now, many, many others will to, because as you see, in my profile, I am not breaking the TOS by spreading your conversation all over SL, it's plainly there how I love to share what people tell me. You on the other hand, don't have that in your profile, so go ahead, use my words, and maybe I'll report you. *rolls eyes* like the Lindens have NOTHING better to do.

Grow some balls... because let me tell you something I've said before... Reallymad is more of a man and a better singer than you will EVER BE... and you are just jealous because back when you used to sing in sl, you never had half the people, that in your opinion, are just karaoke hacks. (oh and learn how to spell)

It comes down to this... if you don't like the place you are at, LEAVE. No one ever forced you to stay....Don't ruin it for others who are in SL to have fun.

Not quite sure why I can't sell anything for real on there since nothing is priced more than 50L, for gowns and suits. So imagine my surprise this weekend when on 2 separate occasions, people came to my store and actually bought stuff! wow! Bought a lot of stuff even!

Not Killing Myself

So this new found freedom of have, at first was a bit strange... Nothing to do... me?? for 2 years I've repped a ton of musicians, managed venues, had my cell phone with me 24/7 in case someone needed something... then all of a sudden... I stopped it!

Truth be told yes, I miss the mayhem ... some, but knowing I only have to worry about getting Reallymad gigs, and taking care of only him, is true relief. His gigs are always fun, and SOMETHING always happens such as typos, but I digress... Reallymad has always been a pleasure to work for and doesn't take any crap from me... not that I give it. *looks innocent* and don't tell him I said it!

When his gig(s) are done for the night, and any bookings that need to be handled are taken care of, I can log off or spend time with my friends. Lately, Sammie's bunnies have really taken off, er um been selling well. So I have been helping him and we spend a lot of time tending to little prim bunnies, they are cute. Occasionally I do a photo shoot, or make some new article of clothing, but it is when I want to do it.

Secondlife had become so stressful for this frog, it was almost as bad as my RL job, and one day I woke up and realized, I don't make anywhere near what I make for RL why do I need the extra stress?

For those who have contemplated what Secondlife is without a lot of stress and drama, I say go for it, make that move and just log in for fun! Hey I even started reading books again... Scary

So, I discovered this "open source" called "Inworldz" (www.inworldz.com). I decided to check it out.

It is comical to me how landing in Inworldz, people were commenting... "this is just like SL" well of course it is, that's where they got their code from... Hence "open source".

Years ago, a friend of mine tried to get me to go to another "world". Yes it was just like SL but back in the day, you couldn't bring anything with you, no textures etc. We quickly decided that was not for us.

But Inworldz, seems like it could be a lot of fun. Now there are some glitches, such as search doesn't work...yet. But how fun is it knowing there are only 77 people online... 77! Yes it runs a little slower, but could be worth it. Esp knowing there are no upload fees! But get this: Private Isles come with a range of prims from 35,000 to 45,000, with the smallest allowable prim being .001 x .001 x .001 to the largest allowable of 128 x 128 x 128. Also they are a lot! cheaper than SL's islands! A LOT! $75 for a full sim...

Secondlife: Our premier island product, Full regions provide the highest level of performance. They allow up to 15,000 prims and as many as 100 avatars at a time.

Set Up Fee: USD $ 1,000.00*
Monthly Maintenance:
USD $ 295.00*
Maximum Prims: 15,000.

I did notice last night people are coming in by the droves, the freebie area where you rezz in was pretty full. Oh and if you are wondering, yes you can transfer Lindens from SL to your Inworldz account. However, everything you see here on my new avatar was free. Without upload fees, I will be making my clothing there! Maybe even set up a little shop.

So I was reminded of the fact that I too, had noobish, free skin for a good year after joining Secondlife... hey! I loved that skin, it had suntan lines and everything. Back in the day, before people had the option of "picking" their avatar before even setting foot in SL, you were born "ruth". Everyone looked the same. I remember changing my hair, to purple... and it was just hair that was already on your head... gasp I looked horrid...

But times change, and one day soon after I was born, someone gave me a skin... laugh all you want, but back in the day, that skin was pretty damn hot!

I really can't believe I kept that skin for a year. Matter of fact, I hated to part with it. But over time, I've gotten several skins, but yet, I still love my crazy hair colors...Eh I still love changing hair! Maybe for kicks and giggles, I'll wear that skin sometime soon and see if anyone notices!

Oh and if you are wondering, yes, that's Sammie Gabardini, the noob, after he got a 2nd skin... *sigh* yeah buddy nice skin there G... As for the tiger well that's my good friend Sly... she actually has had the best skin the whole time I've known her :)

A few years ago, there were not nearly as many live music venues as there are today... There were not nearly as many musicians as there are today. The live music scene was small and almost exclusive. At that time, I was co-owners of a venue, The Brass Frog. Everyone wanted to get into "The Frog"... it was the place to be.

One night as I was straightening out somethings, (before the days of intans*gasp*), this very noobish man tps into "the Frog", ~~wearing a shirt that said "show them to me" or something like that~~. It was very funny as it had "boobs" on it. ~~This man had the noobish skin, noobish hair... etc.~~ I am still unclear to this day how he found the Brass Frog, as we had no gigs going on at that time. We chatted for a moment, and off he went.

Later that night, I went to hear Jackdog Snook, one of the pioneers of SL Live Music. I love JD, he's sense of humor is a bit off, but I love it. His guitar skills and song writing is in a class of it's own. So there I was enjoying JD, making friends, when I saw ~~that same noob~~ , that man I met earlier, only this time with a different shirt (thankfully). Later that night, I went to hear more live music, at the Gaslight (which is still around). I said in open chat, does anyone want to dance with me, and there almost out of chat range was this ~~noob again~~.this man again. I said are you stalking me? He said well of course, may I have his dance? That as they say is history...

According to ~~that noob~~, Sammie Gabardini, this month, has been 2 years that we have been friends. In SL time that's like what 10? Anyway, TY Sammie for being my bestie for the last 2 years. SL is definitely an interesting place with you around.

*Note: Apparently my memory fails me, and Sammie was not a noobie looking avatar when I met him, he had amazing skin and perfect hair, or so I'm told... I need to go barf now*

Happy Rezz Day (Wednesday) to Reallymad Morpork who has graced our lives for 2 years now...

Yah ok, that was nice, but the truth of the matter is, he has abused me, and picked on me for almost 2 years (I met him a month after he rezzed into SL)... Everyone knows the story of how Mick "had to audition" for me when I co-owned the Brass Frog. Everyone knows how Mick and I are good friends. Mick, in my house, is a household name, synonymous with ICE CREAM!

Even with all the abuse, and the lightening strikes (he knows what I'm talking about), I would not trade the last almost 2 years for anything. There is only one word that can express my feelings about the friendship I have with Mick... and only he understands this word... "Ribbit"

3 Million Linden

So... Yesterday, Reallymad gave up watching the World Cup to sing at the Fashion Fest, for Relay for Life. Now, at the beginning of the gig, we all had to hear about it... but as the gig went on, things took an interesting turn!

The RFL kiosk was nearing 3 Million Linden, and Nikki's hope was to reach it by the end of the weekend... little did she know... Someone in the audience said if it reached the total ending in 5KL they would donate an additional 5kl... Well Mick called him out, and made the kiosk reach that 5k. The audience member paid an additional 5kl... That's when another audience member said for every linden donated, he would match up to 50,000L that night. Everyone was shocked! Again, said audience member didn't think he would have to pay up til later that night, maybe even after the fashion show.

That's when out of the blue, someone donated 50KL! Everyone was aghast! So, the other person lived up to his word and donated 50KL, for a total of 100KL, that's when the kiosk went OVER 3Million Linden!!!! For those who want to know what that adds up to, 3 Million Linden is approx. $11,000 USD. Needless to say, there was not a dry eye "in the room".

As for Reallymad, he said I'm sure it had nothing to do with me. My response to that was, if he had not been singing those people wouldn't have been there! Whatever the reason for people donating, they did, and wouldn't it be amazing if a cure was found because people in secondlife donated lindens!

Thanks Mick for giving up the World Cup! You and I both know that it was well worth it!

A few days ago, Sammie, Alexxis and I went exploring. Sam and I love exploring other sims, and it just so happened "Mo Fuggin Lex" said whatya doin, so she came along too. The more the merrier.

We went back to Fotoscope. Now if you have never been here, just search for it. There are tons of fun places to discover. Sam and I had been here before, but didn't get to see all of it.

Last night we thought we would check out another sim, what a complete waste of time. It was so bad I won't even talk about it here ... just sayin.

What Makes a Frog Cry??

Approximately 3 months ago, I got a strange IM from someone I really didn't know telling me that someone was on Mick's Skype and needed to talk to me. You see, Mick had been gone for a few days and I had not heard from him. Now you have to understand, Mick and I have been friends for a long time (seemingly forever), and we talk... a lot.

It was Mick's friend, one he had told me about, telling us that Mick was in the hospital. The rest of the story you probably know. What you don't know is, how I sat by my computer waiting and waiting for word from his friend. I even downloaded Skype at work, which is a big no-no, but I know the time zone difference and didn't want to miss. It is probably a good thing this distance or the nurses would have had to throw me out. Finally word came that Mick was ok... we rejoiced! But then there was word about his voice....

Now, I know Mick, he is stubborn... Let me tell you! If you had seen some of our conversations we have had, you would know just how stubborn this man is. But as you can imagine, no voice is a horrible nightmare, esp. for someone who sings. I unfortunately know this first hand, but that's another story. I knew he would get his voice back, it was just a matter of time.

Well, if you follow my blog you will know he did! But persuading him to sing, now that was another story. What Mick forgets is, I'm just as stubborn as him. :) So last night, Mick took the stage at Jade's Jazz Island, you almost needed a hook to get him off the stage. He was probably wondering why I was so quiet, well to be honest, I was almost overwhelmed with emotion. Rini Frog was there as well... Rini and Mick are good friends too... I know she was thrilled to have him singing once again.

Now look out, won't be able to keep that man off the stage! *I think I have created a monster* Oh and if any of you tell Reallymad Morpork that I wrote this blog about him, be careful when you sleep...

The best words ever uttered, "hi sweetie". When Reallymad got his voice back, that's the first thing I heard him say.

Well, tonight, everyone else gets to hear him say that and so much more as he takes the stage at Jade's Jazz Island for his return (maybe) to show biz...

His group went wild last night when it got posted he was BACK...His group is one of the craziest groups in SL.

I for one, could not be happier, even tho as he says he has not practiced (I said did he ever), I AM JUST so happy after the horrifying time he put me through earlier this year. *ducking and running* It all seems like a nightmare now, but, all is well... and I have my Mick back :)~

So be to Jade's tonight 4pm slt for one performance I soon won't forget!

After more than 2 years, a few venues and many musicians, I have walked away from SL Live music. I have my reasons, they are personal.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not totally gone from SL. I am trying my hand at designing clothing, at a reasonable price. I have 2 dresses on xstreetsl now with more forthcoming https://www.xstreetsl.com/modules.php?name=Marketplace&MerchantID=133128 Also will be around to feed bunnies and do photography. None of these things demand my time from RL and I can do as I have the time.

For now, I will continue to help Reallymad Morpork when he is back to singing. He and I have this understanding.

What is Real Music Anyway??

So I follow this one particular musicians blog... but it's kind of like a train wreck, I can't stand to look but I can't look away. You see, said musician, thinks he is THE only real musician in SL, and thinks he deserves all the accolades. He also thinks that if you don't perform originals, you basically suck. I really only read his blog because he and I have a mutual feeling about a particular person in SL... and that's all I'll say on that subject.

For morbid curiosity one day, I went to his gig, there was about 5 people there, counting me, and the venue owner and the musician. Hey, you know everyone has an off day. But being that he thinks he is THE premiere musician in SL (mind you there now hundreds of musicians in SL) I figured he must draw a decent crowd, so I again went to his gig...

First of all, I am very disappointed in the venue owner for allowing this man on her stage. I thought she had better taste in music... But I won't tell you who, as I really like this person.

Second, it happened again, only this time I think there was 7 of us. Ok, so he doesn't pack them in like Maximillion Kleene or Skye or well just about anyone else who doesn't do only originals. I turned on my stream... There was some horrid noise. I thought maybe there was a cat in heat outside of my window, it certainly couldn't be this musician. I turned off my sound, the horrid noise went away... perplexed I turned on the sound again... there was the noise. I asked a friend of mine who is a musician to tp over, he couldn't but asked me for the stream... He never did comment.

I couldn't stay any longer... but also in recent days, there has been one particular musician who has been telling me I know nothing about music.

Well, that could be further than the truth. You see, my mother is a music major, as well as her mother. My mother plays almost every instrument known to man (with a few exceptions) as did her mother. I was raised on classical music, from Bach to Brahms. Unfortunately for me, I did not get my mom's vocal talents, they went to my brother. Now I can play instruments, I just at the moment don't have the time. So please, I may, in your eyes, only be a musicians manager/rep/pr/Rolodex, etc... but I know music. Stop looking down your nose at me, or you might find yourself seriously sorry.

Now i will admit, I love the shopping for clothing, jewelry and more... I found this great store a few weeks ago, Michigan's Shack, they have the best items for your land... and you really can't beat 60L. Not only are they a great asset to your land, they have great fun props and poses. Now the last few weeks, the great people at Michigan's Shack have been giving anyone who purchases an item a random free item... HOW CAN YOU POSSIBLY BEAT THAT! Hurry up and tp over... you won't be sorry... oh did i mention most of the items are low prim? Why are you still reading this?

What Happens When...

It was a dark and gloomy night... when all of a sudden... the internet goes out!!!!!!! Isn't that how any good horror story starts???

For several days now, my cable at home has been out. I sit and watch my modem constantly reset itself. So finally last night I call the Internet Company, they tell me there are outages in the area... it MIGHT be back tomorrow she says. DOESN'T SHE KNOW I need my internet??? Doesn't she know I have kids who were raised in the internet age and don't know what to do with out it??? You mean, I have to talk to my kids instead of IMing them (JK)...

You know I must say, really it wasn't too bad, I mean, sure I had my responsibilities in SL that I should have been tending to, but I have staff er um a business partner (yeah that's it) to handle things in my absence. I think, personally he liked me not being around as he could go off and count bunnehs or something after the gig, as he too has learned the answer to everyone's question is "Ask Bricky".

So tonight I hope my cable is working as Lehman has a new venue he is going to and Lady is at the Whiskey. Supposedly my biz partner has a bunneh auction to go to... I guess I'll excuse him this one time.

If my cable is not working well... I guess I'll do what they did in the olden days, pick up my phone and call people... *gasp not that* and eek talk to my kids instead of IM's...

Over the past few days, I have had a few friends telling me all about their "relationships" in sl...

The conversations either revolve around drama, he/she said of their friends, jealousy, or no time commitment. Let's face it, drama IS sl... those that say "no drama" in their profiles, are usually the ones that all drama revolves around. My simple response to people that say they have drama in their lives simply drop and mute. Why do you need more stress in your life. Same thing for those who want to talk about you, or try to cause you problems in your relationships... I mean come on, you don't owe anyone anything in SL... SL is huge...countless residents, countless regions, pack up and move to a place that you can have better friends.

The thing is, in SL, you don't deal with a person on a level usually experienced in RL. Someone said last night in open chat at Lehman's gig, in SL you are dealing with the essence of someone. If you will, you are dealing with someone more on a spiritual level. You know their being. Something a lot of people don't experience in RL.

I don't know where I'm going with this. Just seems like in recent days, a lot of my friends are struggling with relationships in SL on all levels. I feel for all of them and wish they find what they need, deserve and happiness.

First ... I must thank everyone who came out to participate, regardless of reason or revenge, to the RFL Dunking Tank on Sunday. In my time in the Tank, about 16KL was raised, but I was bored and took a second turn later that night, and all told, in my time in the Tank, 22KL was raised! Which translates to about... $95! yay! I'm so truly humbled at the outpouring of love. Now I am not sure how much was raised in the tank over the time period, but it was fun to say the least!

NOW! Last night about 11pm my time I was just saying my good nights to a few people when Reallymad "Mick" Morpork logged in. Now Mick lives in the UK which is about 5 hours ahead of me. Some people might think this strange, but Mick keeps really bizarre hours. He IM's me immediately and says "Where are you?" I said "I'm home, why?" He says "TP me" I'm all oook???! So being the well trained friend I am, I tp him over.

Mick, as you may recall had an incident happen that he lost his ability to speak. For months I have been telling him, you are a stubborn man and I know this won't last long.

Well... He comes over to my land, I had just finished a gig, and taken my headset out of my computer, when I saw it happen. The little green lines over his head... I was like OMG! I grabbed my headset, AND I HEARD HIM SAY BRICKY! OMG! The joy, the relief, the excitement, was uncontainable. He had just gotten it back, about 15 mins before and knew I would still be up, and wanted to see if someone could actually hear him.

Now I won't steal his thunder by telling you how it happened... (don't tell him I said this) but I will be so glad to HEAR HIM tell his stories over and over and over again.

Needless to say, we had a tiny party last night... a few close friends. But tonight, if he is willing and up to it, PARTY AT THE REDNECK ANIMAL REFUGE KINGDOM! MICK will of course be talking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Joy is not the word for it, I don't know what it is..., but this Frog gets choked up thinking about it and I haven't stopped smiling since I heard that sweet British Accent! No, he only got his voice back last night, don't know if or when he'll be singing again, but I'm just so happy that he can TELL me what to do, er um, so happy he can talk! Singing, yes, will be a true benefit, but not necessary.

Oh one more thing, for the ASSHOLES who think Mick has been faking it for attention... you only wish you were half the man he is and go get stuffed, wanker

Relay for Life - A Frog in the Dunk Tank

One friend said, a dunking you AND fighting cancer, what a great combination!! Two other friends said if I get topless, they will pay 10KL each... I said oh who me? Topless? like that's never happened, bring the money! I will leave you with this one final thing

Anyway, a few weeks ago, Sam and I went in together on sharing costs on a homestead sim, now while it's not the best sound investment in sl, it affords us more prim, and land. So we thought why not. Well, we also thought it would afford us the privilege of inviting over who we wanted. Wasn't I wrong.

I'm not sure what people think... you see, we cornered off a 1/4 of the sim for my studio and a small strip mall (for those who want a great deal on some mall space IM me or Sammie Gabardini), so of course we set THAT portion to allowed public access. So the other day, I am out and about terraforming and rezzing stuff all over the "Redneck Animal Refuge Kingdom" when my sim radar tells me there is someone on the property. I looked at my mini map, showed me they were at my show room, so I flew on over.

When I got there, there was a person on my mountains, camming around. I asked them what they wanted, they claimed not to speak english, clearly not there for photos, so I ejected them.

About an hour later, same scenario, only this time the man spoke english. I asked if he was there for pictures, he said no, and continued to stand on the MOUNTAINS and cam around. I said well what do you want then. He told me the land used to be his, and he couldn't imagine what we had done to it. I said well it USED TO be yours, and now it's MINE. Please leave. He continued to argue with me and so I said, you are breaking the new TOS, read it, and ejected him. He continued to IM me telling me I was rude. Funny I didn't see his name on the tier box.

I got tired of this man's petty attitude, so I muted him and told Sam what had happened... Sam won't tell me what he said, just that the man apologized. Thanks Sam....

We don't mind people coming over, but please don't invite yourself unless we have said hey come over any time you want, we have a great water slide and pool, come hang out. My studio land is also a great hang out spot, has fishing and a mall and a rowboat... I don't care if people hang out there either, that's what it is made for. Is it just me? I'm not sure if its my nice, serene nature, my calm, shy personality, my quiet resolve, or just what. Needless to say I was shocked when Nikki IM'd me and asked me if I would be in the dunk tank this coming Sunday for RFL. I told her sure, but I doubt anyone would come and dunk me being I hardly know anyone, she laughed (and if I could have heard her, I bet it would have been a hearty laugh for some reason).

I, however, am speculating there will be a line off the sim to dunk me *sigh*. I'm not sure who will be in line first, maybe Reallymad, who after years of me gently prodding him a long, will seek his revenge, or maybe it will be my alleged best friend Sammie, who I've um seen him fall off a sky plat or two, or have mysterious boxes appear on him when he's AFK. The possibility could be the first in line would be Fable who claims she knows everything to know about me (well she does) and as she says listen to me drone on and on... I won't even mention Lehman Shinn, I mean, he wouldn't... would he? I've never picked on him at all... FROG... yeah never mind, he may be packing his bag to sit there now so he has the first spot...all of a sudden I'm thinking I might have some er um great friends out there who are warming up their pitching arm...

I did get two offers however, if I sit there topless, they will pay 10,000L to RFL to dunk me. I truly think this is a worthwhile venture, it is all for a very good charity.

There is this feeling I have that my good friend, who is so quiet and demure, who tells me I can have her Skittles all the time, may be first in line... *sigh* Christine... you wouldn't would you?? Seamus? you'll protect me right?

Oh my, the list in my head is growing longer and longer, LadyScarlett, Zanco, Nanners, Adam, maybe even AcousticEnergy or Ocean if they catch wind of this... I'm thinking a few venue owners, Alexxis, LilMissPriss, Maebh...

So, RFL might hit their goal with me...and too bad for Reallymad, I won't even have to take my hair off...

What an Interesting Weekend

So this weekend, was definitely interesting... Let me start with the good news...

Lehman Shinn is tearing up the grid! He is consistently having huge crowds at his gigs, he's adding new songs, and even wearing pink ... "cuz real men wear pink". If you haven't caught one of his shows lately, you really need to check him out. His calendar can be seen at www.tinyurl.com/lehmanshin. You know you want to book him at your venue, so why haven't you IM'd me yet, get him before he is completely booked up.

The Redneck Animal Refuge Kingdom is coming along nicely. My best friend, Fable decided to get rid of all her bunnehs. I think a lot of my bunnehs will be going to market soon, or into stew, so if you want any of them, PLEASE ...I might even give them to you for free.... but I can't advertise that or I'll get banned from certain groups. *rolls eyes*

I'm in the process of adding a water park on the Redneck Animal Refuge Kingdom. Diving board, twisty slide and a pool are just the start. Several areas around the Kingdom are ready for just relaxing and park like. I think the one thing that I"m most proud of is the new and improved Froggie Fotos area that now has rental shops and rental signs as well. The bad news is, SL lost an incredible performer this weekend. ZDiva Sorbet has decided to go on an indefinite hiatus. Her family and RL are fine... She's just gotten terribly busy and needs a break from it all.

Right now, BAF Productions is only representing Lehman Shinn and LadyScarlett Farstrider (Reallymad is on hiatus). We are proud to rep these two! With Lehman getting more and more popular and Lady having more and more requests from venues for gigs, this is just the right mix for us. Both of these wonderful people deserve my time and devotion, I'm honored to call them both my friend. Although one of them is more demanding and requires hair spray (I'm dead now) ...

I was looking at some photos on Koinup and Flickr today. The shots that people take are just phenomenal. I'm always in awe of where people find the sims that some of the stuff takes place on. Not only that but the peoples imagination and creativity to make such beautiful places.

This shot was taken not so long ago as I went exploring. I love elephants, and so I thought this shot was perfect. To me, it looks like the man is contemplating life. But who knows maybe he is just trying to figure out how to get out of the water before the elephants see him, or he knows the person is taking a picture. *smiles*

So this weekend I think I'll go exploring SL. If anyone knows of any fabulous sims, IM me, or better yet leave a post here so all may enjoy!

So this is my 200th post... I just re-read a lot of the posts from the "early years" ... The fun thing for me, anyway, with blogging is it's like a diary, and if someone wants to get in the mind of The Frog, it's the best way to do it... Kinda scary in there, but can be kinda fun.

I sense a lot of changes in my life coming upon me soon, both RL & SL. I'm in the process of trying to help Mo Fuggin Lex (Alexxis) promote her shopping mall at Paisley Park (as seen in the May Edition of Icon Magazine, page 64 http://issuu.com/iconmagazine/docs/issue_15_may_cat_web). Paisley Park is like no other venue, mostly because of Alexxis and Katarina (her Venue Manager). Pop over and tell Lexxi "Brickalicious sent you"

Also brought to my attention, is a friend of a friend has a Casino in SL and is looking to give it a little boost. So, this friend told him about me and how I love to run venues. Hopefully in the next couple weeks, I will be running gigs there several times a week to up his traffic.

Because I have been so busy in RL, and of course my musicians are my priority in world, my photo studio has taken a backseat, but it's getting to be summertime (at least in the States) so it's time to dust off your bathing suit, and show the world how hot your AV is! Maybe you are tired of your profile picture and it needs a little uplift. IM me and ask me about this months special... Just say the word "bunneh" and Sammie will pay half of your photo shoot (I know he will). I have very reasonable prices, and just think with Sammie paying half you can get twice the amount *smiles*

Over the 200 posts, Sammie's name comes up frequently whether I'm mad at him or he and I are off goofing off or *sigh* taking care of bunnehs... So thanks Sam for being my bestie.

Bunnehs, Bunnehs, Ozimal Bunneh's Everywhere!

Ok ... so you knew eventually I would have to talk about my bunnehs.

It all started one night when my friend Mick was sick, my so called bestest friend, Fable, thought it would be nice to give me a bunny, she named him Mick. Thought it would do me a world of good to be able to take care of something, to take my mind off of the real Mick. Follow??

Ok, so after about a week, I finally got to show my friend Sammie ... er um Mick, well he wanted one... so Fable was nice enough (I think) to give him one, named Toasty. Well Toasty went to into hibernation because we didn't know how to properly take care of these bunnehs... So Sammie went to work to save Toasty, from impending doom, and that was the start.

He learned that these bunnehs can breed, grow, eat and make more bunnehs... They can also be worth a lot of money... if you get the right breed, fur, eyes, *sigh*... so now Sammie and I have oh idk, 60+ bunnies and nests...

So there I was at Lady's gig, which was a fundraiser for someone... We were all dancing in sync and I said shame we aren't on stage, we could be Lady's back up singers... that's when Felena IM's me and says come on, let's go... *sigh* she literally drug me on stage and forced me to dance... *ducking*... Needless to say by the time we got done, there was talk about how innocent I am... definitely not Felena or Lady... now that I think about it, I was the last to get my halo *wonders why*

By now, you may have heard that Mick is in serious condition in the hospital and needs lots off prayer. His friend has been keeping me posted on his condition. So as therapy I thought I would write a little here about Mick, and the last two years.

Mick and I met when I was running the Brass Frog venue. He will tell you how bloody awful I was that I made him "audition" for him. From that moment on, he and I became fast friends, seemingly like we knew each other forever. The countless hours we have spent on Skype, Messenger, and emails. Always there for me, telling me things about myself I never knew... I don't know where I would be if he didn't tell me and keep me straight (and when he reads this he will laugh at me).

We have all heard the stories of Norah Jones, and how she looked "RIGHT AT ME, AND SANG TO ME"... well, I'm gonna say she probably did, but don't tell him I said I believe him.

Always accusing me of "abusing" him in group chat, let me tell you the abuse goes both ways. It has always amazed me how he gets these women to do sexy dances without hair... He truly has the best job in Secondlife.

Over almost two years, Mick and I have shared a lot of tears, but mostly tears of laughter. He always knows how to make me smile, including doing things that truly amaze me, even in RL. I can't wait til he gets out of the hospital I am looking forward to his abuse. Who knows, maybe we will all show up to his next gig as bald nurses... "nurse!"

I have to say Mick is truly one of my dearest friends, of which I have 3. He may live 6,000 miles away from me, but he is in my heart. Praying for a speedy recovery, my friend, come back to us soon! I have no one making sure I behave...

Some people may wonder what it entails to be a Musician Manager... Let me share some background with you and maybe some insight.

Back over 2 years ago, Live Music in Secondlife is not what it is today. There were a handful of really good artists (most of whom still play today) and some more who weren't as good. There were a handful of venues, not many, but a few. Most venues were not in it to make money, but for the joy that music brought to their lives, and those around them. Take for example, the venue I ran with my then "SL Brother" Ford Bebb... "The Brass Frog", we had one of the most sought after venues in SL because we only let the best of the best in. It is in fact where I met Reallymad Morpork, and ZDiva, and yes auditions were mandatory. It is also where I met some truly talented musicians who are still my friends today, including Allister Westland, Erin68 Frog and Satin Galli, Jackdog Snook and Rara Destiny, to name a few. Unfortunately running a venue, esp. then, was really not easy and due to unforeseen circumstances the Brass Frog is no more.

Also two years ago, (ouch maybe more) managers were few and far between, there were maybe 5 really, really good managers. Throughthesewalls Moody (MNP), Ocean, Kat Vargas (CYD Records) to name a few. Well, one day Jackdog Snook took me to meet AcousticEnergy Nitely (AE), some "noob" who thought he could sing (well he can) and AE and I hit it off almost instantly. Now at the time, I was not a musicians manager, and had no inclination to become one, but knew how to run a venue. AE and I got talking one day, and he asked me to manage him (or I asked him, I don't remember). Thus the start of BAF Productions (if you are wondering BAF stands for Bad Ass Frog).

Over time, I have managed a myriad of musicians, of whom, Reallymad Morpork is still hanging with me (I guess I haven't cracked my whip hard enough or we are really amazing friends or he likes me moving his balls... whatever it is, I'm glad he is still with me after almost 2 years). Some musicians require more time than I can give them, for example AMForte Clarity wanted a lot more gigs during times I was not in world. You might be surprised if you have only gotten to know me who I have repped in 2 years. I love all my musos and only want the best for them. I understand sometimes I am not what they need, and want them to have only what makes them grow.

So... my day as a manager does not always involve being actually in SL. I am accessible to my musicians 24/7, they all have my cell phone number, email, messenger, etc. Whatever they need, I am there for them. I only take on a few musicians at a time so I can be supportive for them.

During my day, I check my email frequently (shhh from work) so that if I get an offline regarding bookings, I can email the venue owner back straight away. If I am in world, and maybe hanging out with my friends or doing pictures, and I get an IM from my musicians or from a venue, I stop what I'm doing and take care of them. On "off" days, I search out venue owners, and new venues for my musicians to gig at. Checking calendars, schedules etc requires sometimes a lot of time.. and juggling several calendars at once. Yes sometimes I muff up a calendar, I am only human er um pixels. Truly there is not much I wouldn't do for my musicians... One musician texts me when they are at the doctors waiting and says "entertain me" so of course I do.

Would I stop being a manager? No! Now don't get me wrong, I have thought about it, threatened two of my musicians that I was, but in the end, I love what I do. Truly I hate the word Manager, because in fact I work for them, I am there for support, so that in the end, all they should have to do is get up and sing. From talking w/the venue owner, to helping out w/streaming issues, to doing notices and having fun w/the crowd. I like the word "assistant" better, personal assistant really fits. My musicians are all really good friends of mine and if they all got together and decided to stop paying me well I would still help them out (and move in with them with my shoes and hair).

I have paid my dues, I have been a manager for over 2 years in SL, I know what it's like. Truly I resent the fact that one musician (not one of mine) calls managers worthless, and scum. I resent that "musician" who says "karaoke" singers in SL are horrid and not real talent (I dare him to say that to Pavarotti who basically is no different that a "karaoke" singer, although they probably don't know who that is). To him I say if we are so worthless, then why do my musicians have a crowd and he has 3 at gigs??

I am privileged and blessed to call ALL of my musicians my friends... even the ones I don't rep any more, are still my friends. For those people with hopes and dreams of starting production companies or "management" companies, I say good luck to you. Maybe you should thank those of us who have scraped and pushed to have live music what it is today. To AcousticEnergy Nitely, Reallymad Morpork, ZDiva Sorbet, Jackdog Snook, Rara Destiny, AMForte Clarity, Lehman Shinn, LadyScarlett, Esme Fenwitch, Diesel Karillon, Angel Stormwind, and those I may have missed... To those that went before me, Ocean, Moody, Kat and the others... To the venue owners who have hosted my musicians ... To my hostess'/hosts who fill in and take care of my musicians when I cant'... Also to Tangle and Bones for running Trax... To Sparkin Nightfire (the original, who introduced me to Jackdog Snook) and Ford Bebb... THANK YOU FOR making me who I am today...

Esme rips up the Grid... literally

Esme Fenwitch... has had 3 gigs in just a few short days. Every gig she has is packed, every gig she has people want her! Her schedule is filling rapidly! Which is truly amazing!

This feisty little red-head packs a powerful punch with every song she sings. Her favorite song styling's are from Lady Gaga for sure! But she is also heavily influenced by her good friend (and mine) Reallymad Morpork. This woman who has been singing in RL for years and winning tons of awards will not be overshadowed in SL. I'm guessing in just a few short weeks, the name ESME will be a household name, and the songs you might not have heard before (face it, I've never really listened to Gaga) you will be humming as you make your way to the real world.

Look for this powerhouse who likes to break the grid (or unplug herself) coming to a venue near you. You've heard her name, don't miss her amazing voice. LOL and if you want to know all about her, just ask a frog :)

Reallymad Morpork and the Case of the Missing Hat...

Reallymad Morpork *aka Mick* loves country music... ok well maybe not, but he truly sounds like a native southerner ... ok well maybe not...

But he DID have a gig at the Lone Star tonight, which is a country venue. Not quite sure how he picked the venue, except maybe his cousin, Edhausen Morpork got him the gig. You know Mick thinks he's NOT a diva, but ok maybe he really is, for AN HOUR we had to all hear how he couldn't find his hat... Now Sammie told me about this hat the last time he was there as I had to miss the gig. Sammie told this hat had marvelous hair attached to it, and was something of a fashion statement ( a bad one)... but alas Mick could not find this hat...

Me, Brickhouse Frog, the Sexy Rolodex, who has attended to Mick's every need for almost 2 years (ok not every) found in my inventory something called "cowboy hat", I didn't rezz it, I simply saw that i could transfer it so I passed it onto Mick so he would be ever prepared...Well you see, when you have been in sl for as long as I have and stuff you kinda forget ALL the things you did... Well I forgot that "cowboy hat" was in fact a HUGE tip jar I had made for Diesel Karillon oh so long ago... So my friend Seamus sees on my Facebook page that I'm tired of liars... One in particular, but we won't go there now as I'm not in the mood to slam one particular person... his lies WILL expose him... eventually and he WILL fall... but I digress...

So Seamus logs into SL and asks me if I'm okay, I tell him yes, I'll survive. We chat for a little bit and he tells me about this pose store he found with really fun poses, so I pop over... These are some of the best poses I have found and you know I can't even tell you the name of the store right now... I forget LOL...

So... They say I'm a prim whore... Several of my dear, sweet, wonderful friends tell me this from time to time. Those that have lived with me, those that have been to visit, have all told me I love prims.

My question is, what's wrong with being a prim whore, I mean really? Prims are like shoes and hair you can never have enough. All I do is try to make my home beautiful, and if it uses up prims, well that's what the land is for.

Take for example, palm trees, I remember back in the "olden" days of SL, owning land with some friends, and my job was to decorate the land for all of us. Ok, so you rezz one palm tree, and it was 458903221 prims (ok maybe not that many, but it was like 200+ prim) and so your one palm tree WAS all your prim. Until you discovered something like a "nada rezzer" making all your prims one. So decorating took a few days because of putting all your items in a nada rezzer.

Now... fast forward... palm trees are 2 prims (most of the time) thanks to sculpty's! So, it just may appear that I'm a prim whore because today's decor is so much more prim friendly that I can rezz more stuff to make the world a prettier place. People have commented on how lovely the landscape and such...

Ok so last night I added more land.... I now have 512 prim extra *rubs hands together and thinks...* oh right it's for Sammie to build on. So if you need anything built Sammie is a fantastic builder, and has all the right prices... better get to him soon or well his prims might disappear... Just sayin'

So am I a prim whore??? You decide... and it's true, you can't have too many shoes, hair or dresses.

The most wonderful country singer, Diesel Karillon was on stage tonight, a very rare performance, so I TP over Reallymad Morpork, one of my dearest friends in the whole world, and Melody Jigsaw... Twilight Darwin was also there and of course ZDiva...All of whom I consider really good friends... or so I thought...

My dear, sweet friend who has been there for me through thick and thin, has always given me a shoulder to cry on, a laugh to make the day, you know TRUE, deep friendship... takes one look at my hair and wonders if I stuck my finger in an electrical socket... *sigh* from there, seriously the hits just kept coming... but being a good sport, Mick puts on his Afro... the comments from if he was a Q-Tip, but if he was Q-tip wouldn't work, because then the person would need a shower! OMG let me tell you, this poor Frog was literally on the floor in tears laughing... as of this writing... my sides still hurt!

My so called good friends, Mel, Twi and Z... all took their hits! Mick finally asked me if i was going to get a refund on my hair.... my response was then what would you have to pick on??? Personally, I just simply blame Sammie...he bought me the hair for my birthday... and he wasn't at the gig, so it had to be his fault... right?

Ok ... So after trashcan picking, the day actually er um picked up... like I said the day started with fab music and my good friends singing to me :)))

As the day went on, my friend Sam (who is still younger than me for another day) took me shopping for a new dress and hair. I was really surprised that he chose the hair in the picture, I mean I love it, but thought he would think I was nuts... Not only are they phenomenal at singing but all of them are good friends, I'm truly blessed! After Lady's gig, wow did she surprise me by sending me a little pressie! The Night continued with an Impromptu party at Jade Jazz Island. Jade decorated the whole place in FROGS! Poor OnlyHalfCrazy Gumbo was not knowing it was a party for me til the very last second, but managed to pull off a lot of my favorite songs, and she even reminisced about the first time we had interactions together and actually brought a tear to this Frog's eye....

So over to ZDiva's gig we flew! She finally remember it was my bday, and sang to me too! yay Z! This very tired Frog headed off to bed to dream of Frogs and songs!

So the day started out great, both Lehman Shinn and Reallymad Morpork sang at Kickin Atlantic this morning... not sure if it was the threats they got from the audience or the sheer nice guys they are *cough threats*, but both sang their renditions of Happy Birthday to me... Yay! It was fantastic to have two of my very dear friends sing to me!

As the day progressed, everyone left me ... *sniff* not a present to be found .... *waaaa* So... I found a trashcan that thought I should dig through it, and I found all kinds of great things, from a male shape, to male skin, to balloons! Weeeee ... happy birthday to me!

No dress but of course the vendor took it's money... so I figure lag, and we have all seen those messages "it could take up to 15 mins" well, I had to go, couldn't wait any longer... when I got back in world NOTHING... now I know it's only 50L, and I might have let it go, but I WANTED this dress. Someone who frequents my blog said "you haven't blogged lately!" Ok... so here I am blogging... Happy now?

That other "L" has captured me for a few days, you know RL, and there has been a boat load of rain. Hopefully the sun will be shining again real soon.

There is a rumor going around that Reallymad Morpork ran off with SexyJade to get married finally, this is only a mere rumor... Fortunately for me, it was not infection Bricky that kept him away this time, bad for him, he lost his computer. BUT he will be back this weekend! yay!

ZDiva continues to gig as RL lets her. Packing sims and venues where ever she goes. Z is definitely a class act that can't be ignored.

My newest talent, LadyScarlett Gears, is making her way to the top. Her voice is full of passion, her singing makes you feel the emotion in each song. Lady's sweet, southern charm makes it feel as tho you are in her living room as she sings her songs. Don't be fooled by that pretty little speaking voice, her vocal abilities will leave you speechless.

There is hopefully another musician coming on board to BAF Productions in the near future... watch here for all the updates.

There are some people in life, whether it is RL or SL that you just can't seem to go the journey without. I'm truly blessed in both worlds to have such friends, and some of those friends are in both my worlds. Life, sometimes gives you bumps and it's all how you handle those bumps ... sometimes cars on the train derail when you hit those bumps, and the friendship is lost. Sometimes when life throws bumps in your path, you may turn a different direction than what you had originally thought was the right way to go, but the result after a while is more beautiful than you might had ever hoped.

The Journey I have taken in the last few years in SL has been an interesting one to say the least. In the last few months, I hit a major bump, but the path has been made smooth once more, I have come around the corner and found a some beautiful friendships. I look forward to this new journey with my old friends. I feel like the world is right again.

I know there will be some more bumps in my path some day (maybe even a deer or two that will require a duct tape repair LOL) but I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that some friendships are meant to stay regardless of the storms around.

To one person, and they know who they are, thanks for a beautiful friendship...

Ok ... so in Secondlife you can be who you want to be, you can do pretty much anything you want to do, all it takes is a few lindens, a little imagination and viola, your dreams come true.... Although for those of us that love roof diving and other crazy things, it takes no money at all.

So a few weeks ago, ZDiva informs me that she got an invite to sing at the Tinies...we both thought oh how cool will this be. Our wildest imaginations couldn't even come close to how cool this was. It was Mardi Gras in the land of the Tinies, and so Z and I both donned our feathers and enjoyed the land of the Tinies.

Now what I'm failing to tell you is, the events leading up to this amazing mind blowing gig. For those of you who don't know ZDiva Sorbet, she is one of the most fascinating women I know who well, suffice it to say, I know first hand she doesn't embarrass. We went shopping the night before for certain things for her Tini Avatar and had more fun than should be allowed.

That's when she sent me this little outfit... Now, for those of you who know "The Frog" you know I'm a bit on the shy side, never causing any kind of trouble. You also know I like to stay out of sight. I didn't look at this outfit before I put it on, I think the little doggie put something in my "Fly Martini" thus I sensed nothing. Everyone seemed to really enjoy this costume, as I had it on all day and kept snapping pictures for some reason, I must have really been working the feathers.

*Just look at that vicious dog, you know he had to have spiked the Fly Martini*

My Love Hate Relationship with the Lindens!

OOOO I read in a few blogs today that there was a new SL viewer... yay! Most of the blogs I read were horribly against it, so I stumbled upon a how to video and thought hey this doesn't look too bad! So I came home, loaded it on another computer that is not my main SL computer and tried it out! Boy! Am I disappointed in the new viewer. Don't get me wrong Second Life 2.0 has some cool features... but it looks and acts more like Facebook than Second Life. Now maybe for some of the noobs, this is a great thing, but for us old heads, simple things like the "build" button is gone. Why take that away??

Also when I log in, it won't rezz my prims, you know my hair, shoes and skirt, yeah buddy don't I look cute... yes I took the time for my inventory to load, which 1/2 of my gestures it said couldn't load, and my huds were all gone but one. To me, this hardly seems worth it. I truly hope the Lindens say oops we made a mistake, but we all know that won't happen.

So here I stand in my studio, using the "old" viewer, and waiting for my inventory to load once again... it's not massive, just over 26k. But no huds, no mysti tool (for some reason the new viewer felt it necessary to DETACH my mysti tool... hello that's MY mysti, no one said detach it)...

All this horrible experience lead to only one thing, SHOPPING! Sheesh whats a girl to do you know... so for all those who are wondering, Brick is Back! Now most of you won't understand that statement, but for those who read my blog daily, who don't speak to me, you know who you are, this is for you... I went and bought some pretty deviant clothing. Dillon is one of my clients, that have been coming to me almost for a year now. He first came to me as his alt, but in recent times has been coming to me as Dillon. So yesterday he IM's me and says Bricky ever do on location shoots? I said sure Dillon what you got in mind. Much to my surprise, he wanted shots done of his home... Now I've done landscapes before, but never because someone asked me to.

Dillon seems like a great guy from the few times I've done his pictures. Getting to know him more yesterday, I can only see that I'm right. Dillon showed me around his home, I took some pictures for him and later sent him about 8 pictures, a book and this picture framed. He was thrilled (you can see what he had to say in my profile), to say the least.

Thanks Dillon for a great photo shoot and for being one of my biggest fans, you sure know how to make a froggie blush.

So of course today is 60L Sunday, it is quite tedious going through the notecard of 223 items, but whoever put together the notecard takes the time to include pictures and slurls! BUT! So after me telling a friend I would give my right arm for the new Omega Flex system, they said no no don't do that, just don't bribe me and I'll get it for you ... LMAO... So my good friend got me this really cool add on for my studio.

Now what's the big deal you might ask??? Well for a photographer, adding some wind into your world is really cool... As you can see here, this picture of Lexxi, her hair and skirt are blowing in the breeze. We had more fun taking these pictures than should be allowed.
